Join me for a 3 to 3.5 hour guided group tour that explores the fascinating world of mushrooms in and around Berlin! This tour offers a great opportunity to learn all about mushrooms and understand their essential role in nature.
During the tour, you'll learn the basics of mycology and the essential role mushrooms play in supporting the forest. We’ll cover when and where to find a variety of edible species, including popular mushrooms like porcini, chanterelles, parasols, etc. as well as lesser-known varieties such as the sheathed woodtuft, saffron milk cap, wood blewit, and more. You'll gain practical skills for confidently identifying these mushrooms, recognizing which are safe to forage, and understanding which ones to avoid. By the end, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to start foraging for edible mushrooms on your own.
This tour is open to everyone, regardless of your level of mushroom knowledge. It will be conducted in English, with German translations of mushroom names available upon request. I understand German, so if you're not completely confident in English, feel free to join, and I'll be happy to translate as needed.
The exact location will be shared via email a few days before the tour. Bring your curiosity and join us for a memorable experience where you'll gain valuable foraging skills and a deeper connection to the natural world.
